Influences is an installation that discusses the impacts of different variables in my life on my own development and growth. This work is extremely personal, as I delved into my identity and shared my discoveries through a range of mixed mediums. I built this series during a severe depression and at the time didn’t recognise myself, so this is an extension of my self-discovery.
This work questions how life impacts us and tells us that, despite these challenges and these messages, ultimately, we decide the direction of our lives. We can be reborn and grow into our unique selves.
